First public live session with Vanessa
I'm happy to announce, that Vanessa will be my first Session shared on LiveStage next Saturday (13 April, 2 p.m. CET). Load the App, connect with me and you can make your own photos with Vanessa incl. non commercial rights for private use. The app is available and the regular work will be unveiled that anyone can use to take photos of popular models. A kind of remote shoot, except that you can take photos yourself as a spectator. Selected photographers set up their appointment with a model and anyone who is registered can be there with their mobile phone via the LiveStage app. This is a screen shoot from a test session with Vanessa, my View as photographer. I see comments from the viewers, also posing suggestions can be send as a wish. There will be fashion/portrait sessions lasting between 10 and 30 minutes, in which the audience can participate and take photos through the photographer's mobile phone, from the comfort of their own smartphone (Android and Apple). Happy 2024 and Groups
First all the Best to all of You for the next 366 days..... There are some changes for the groups and they are coming in the next 6 months for all groups, now activated from the founder or later automatically ... Again a solution not for the best of the groups, but the owner doesn't really care about our wishes if he can save money. I changed one group today - https://www.deviantart.com/curvybuns - to see the effects. The content, comments etc. will be taken over, but some functions of the old group will not be transferred: favourites and group memberships have disappeared and are not possible in the new group environment, and admin forums or announcements will not be transferred either. In my groups, these are tolerable restrictions. The connection between groups was a good feature, but not essential for survival, it shows that the owners still haven't understood the point of the "DA groups" or are ignoring it. If groups were bad, links between groups are horrible - my interpretation
'Add to Private' What's that?
since a few days there is the possibility to choose "add to private" for a picture. With this you can add the picture to a private gallery and nobody will see that you have it. The rights holder is only shown the number of such hidden favorites (supposedly also the name, but currently not). I remember buying junk books as a teenager and then hiding them from my parents so I could enjoy them in peace. That's what it looks like to me! Here the official declaration I've asked DA to make this conditional on general permission from the rights holder, not roll it out just like that, without asking the owners or inform them! I'm against anyone putting my works under their private mattresses, even if they say they can't do any more with them than anyone who publicly favors them. What is the advantage of a private favorites gallery? What do You think?
How to celebrate a special Day?
When traveling is allowed again and it is also quite safe, I take the opportunity to visit my friends in and around Prague. An interested photographer is quickly found - we are all hungry for such 'workshops' in a really smallest group.
